The Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul provides a Jewish foundation through funding for k-12 Jewish education in the St. Paul community. Learn more
The Federation offers a number of scholarships to help community members experience Jewish camp, higher education and Israel. Learn more
This program seeks to encourage Jewish families with young children to explore Jewish literature. Each month PJ Library sends an age appropriate Jewish content book or CD to enrolled children between the ages of six months to seven years. Learn more
The Federation supports Hillel at the University of Minnesota through an annual allocation and grants for special projects. The Federation also provides funding to the Hebrew House at Macalester College in St. Paul and the Jewish Student Group at Carleton College in Northfield.
Each Spring, all of the community's sixth graders are invited to a special Shabbaton (Shabbat retreat) just for them, to meet each other, learn about the traditions at each other's synagogues, and have fun.
Passport to Israel is a St. Paul Jewish community savings incentive program that helps families save money to send their teens on educational trips to Israel. It is a partnership between families, participating synagogues and the Federation. Learn more
Teens can help to support organizations they care about by starting a Gesher l'Kesher teen Tzedakah fund. Often started at the time of a young person's bar or bat mitzvah, each year the young person can donate money from their fund to an organization they select. Not only does this promote a lifetime habit of giving, but it allows young people to have control over their giving and learn about causes and issues that interest them. Learn more
Camp Butwin and Camp Centerland engage children in meaningful, creative and diversified activities that are interwoven in Jewish values. Trained and caring professionals with lots of camp spirit, many of whom attended camp themselves, provide a nurturing and adventurous summer experience.
