We invest in change, support change and support efforts that deliver impact for our community

Our commitment is to the vitality and financial stability of our community at large. We work alongside individuals, organizations and synagogues within every facet of Judaism to create a robust Jewish presence in our community. We look to the future as we develop leaders, enable community innovation, inspire philanthropy, and assess and respond to community issues and needs.

Ensuring an inclusive an vibrant Jewish community into the future

  • HELPING OUR COMMUNITY PLAN FOR THE FUTURE
The Twin Cities Jewish Population Study not only revealed that our community grew 23% to 64,800 people, it provides detailed information about how community members engage in Jewish life. A collaboration between the St. Paul and Minneapolis Jewish Federations and the Harry Kay Charitable Foundation, the study provides critical information for our institutions as they develop outreach for the future.

  • PREPARING OUR NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS
40 talented and inspiring young leaders make up Cohort 10 the Harry Kay Leadership Institute, a prestigious leadership development program for Jewish leaders in the Twin Cities. The two-year program provides participants the tools and support they need to be effective community leaders into the future.

  • INSPIRING PHILANTHROPY
Our YALA/JDC Giving Circle enable 8 local young adults to help elderly Jews in the Former Soviet Union. They met to explore their Jewish and giving values through the lens of Federation's overseas work and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee’s (JDC) global COVID-19 response. They pooled their money and allocated a l gift to support a JDC program that helps some of the world's poorest Jews.
